Why
As more magazines bite the dust and newspapers see a decline in readership, I wonder – what exactly is the future of print? Forget print – even dotcom behemoths are having a tough time trying to figure out the rules of the content game. It is the million dollar question, and the one to answer it will rule the world. Literally and figuratively.
Since I started my career as a print journalist who jumped ship to digital – content and the various places it can live in, is still my sweet spot. The idea of this blog is to take a leading role in driving the conversation around the future of content, distribution and the business of it. I will be doing this by keeping tabs on the industry, new launches and very regularly featuring POVs from and interviews with thought leaders.
A key to figuring our way out of this conundrum is bridging the gap and encouraging more communication between the digital/ advertising / marketing industry and the publishing industry. Neither industry is going to crack the code on this one alone. We need to work together and in tandem.
